Moisture-Tolerant Primer on Stripped Walls
Bathroom walls have a different moisture environment from any other room. Steam penetrates plaster over time, and the areas around plumbing penetrations are consistently wetter than exposed wall areas.
After strip-out, we prime every exposed wall surface with a moisture-tolerant primer before any finish coat or new tile adhesive. Standard emulsion primers are not appropriate in a bathroom renovation context.
